Terms & Conditions
- As the driver, it is your legal responsibility to hold a valid UK provisional or full EU driving licence. Pupils must inform the instructor immediately if they receive any endorsements on their licence.
- A valid UK provisional driving licence must be shown to your driving instructor on your first driving lesson and at your driving tests. You will be asked to provide entitlement to drive prior to your first lesson.
- All lessons must be paid for in advance to secure bookings.
- 48 hour notice is required to postpone/cancel lessons.
- Failure to cancel lessons may result in the pupil being charged at full rate.
- Payment for lessons is by bank transfer or cash.
- You should not book your driving test until your instructor agrees that you are at test standard. (If you have already booked a test, please notify your instructor ASAP).
- Your lesson may be cancelled by your instructor if they believe you are not mentally or physically fit to drive. The lesson will be treated as a no show (see point 4&5).
- Your instructor is obliged to wait no longer than 10 minutes past the agreed start time of the lesson. This time will be deducted from the lesson time. Should your instructor be delayed for your lesson time, they will add on time to your lesson or add it to your next lesson.
- Payment for sitting a practical driving test is paid directly to the DVSA however this does not include the use of a tuition vehicle. Securing your test vehicle, tuition and journey to/from test centre must be pre booked and paid for in advance with your instructor. The cost for this is £80.
- In the event of mechanical breakdown or other difficulty outside the control of the instructor, the instructor reserves the right to rearrange lessons at short notice.
- On occasion, your instructor may ask you to change your lesson time should there be a test booked for another pupil.
- LEGAL LIABILITY. The Pupil should be aware that the Instructors primary objective is to promote road safety and in doing so, he/she may take control of the vehicle. The Instructor will make every effort to instruct the Pupil to the highest standard but can in no way be held liable for any errors that the Pupil may make whilst driving and not accompanied by the Instructor either before or after a driving test pass.
- The Instructor will endeavour to teach the Pupil the correct driving skills according to the recommended syllabus issued by the DVSA within the minimum number of driving lessons required.
- As the driver, be aware that you are legally responsible for any fine and/or points obtained from Road Traffic Act contraventions or local/police issued Penalty Charge Notice2 (PCN).
- The Instructor will accept no liability for accidents, injury or damage to any Third Party caused by the Pupil’s recklessness or negligence during a lesson.
- Adhering to these terms and conditions are the responsibility of the pupil.
- Any breach of these rules may result in the agreement being terminated.
